Huitt-Zollars' Fort Worth, TX office has a full time opportunity for a Land DevelopmentCivil Engineer to provide engineering design and project management for residential and commercial land development projects in Texas. Candidate must be a Civil Engineer with Texas PE registration, have a minimum of 8 years' experience, and a passion to mentor engineers in training. We are a leading Architectural and Engineering firm providing innovative planning, engineering, architectural and interior design, construction and program management, and design-build project delivery to our clients in the public and private sector.
Produce plans and manage residential and commercial land development projects from inception to design and construction
Maintain successful client relationships
Develop project proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage execution and tracking of projects
Lead a team of engineers, designers and technicians in commercial and residential projects
Manage the proposal process in the procurement of projects
Ensure projects are completed within client specifications, budgets and schedules
Develop and guide single family conceptual design
Maintain plan production and process plans and permits with various city municipalities
Licensed and Registered P.E. in Texas
Minimum 8 years of engineering design experience in residential and commercial land development
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of local design ordinances and standards
Understanding of City permitting, sub-division ordinance and public improvements with the capability to process plans and permits
Strong project management ability to manage a team within budgets and deadlines
Understanding of project scope
Passion for teaching and mentoring junior engineers to foster professional growth
