- Develop policies and procedures.
- Responsible for draft STIP development.
- Responsible for submission of the Oregon Transportation Commission (OTC) approved STIP to FHWA and FTA, as well as the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Programs (MTIP) submissions to the Oregon Governor’s office.
- Consult and provide direction on STIP related activities.
- Manage, administer and oversee funding and responsibility for authorizing the obligation of the approximate $750 million received annually from FHWA, FTA and House Bill 2017 for expenditures and reimbursement.
- Responsible for the development and administration of the TDD $100 million biennial budget.
- Manage and lead a dynamic staff.
- In-state and overnight travel is required to attend meetings statewide; some out-of-state may be required.
- High stress and conflict situations, stemming from conflicting priorities, mandates and deadlines, may be encountered.
- May be required to work outside of scheduled hours.
