The Shain lab is seeking to fill an open position for a postdoctoral scholar. Our laboratory uses a variety of -omic technologies to better understand the biology of skin cancer. For this position, the postdoctoral scholar will build upon a recent publication from our lab where we described the genomic landscape of individual skin cells (Tang et. al. Nature, 2020).
The work involves the use of single-cell DNA- and RNA- sequencing technologies as well as subsequent bioinformatic analyses. There will also be opportunities for the postdoctoral scholar to build independent projects, too.
To learn more about our work, please attend session 30 (abstract 1235) of the virtual ASHG meeting where we will be speaking on some of our recent work.
The candidate MUST be interested and enthusiastic about the proposed work and the overarching work in our laboratory. Familiarity with the analysis of high-throughput datasets, including programming experience is desired. Previous experience in the field of genetics, cancer biology, and/or bioinformatics is also desired.
