The Distribution Sales Manager of North American sales strategically implements the Company sales strategy by building and maintaining a multi-channel sales organization targeting the Company's primary Life Sciences, Research, and Pharmaceutical sales distribution and customer network. This position will analyze, assess, and enhance the relationships between Sheldon and its current North America distribution partners as well as responsibility and execution of growth in both areas of distribution and direct sales.
This position will perform some, or all, of the following duties.
Create and Implement a long-range North American Distribution sales strategy to maximize sales and profits.
Participate with the leadership team to identify and implement company standards, processes, procedures, and financial and operational goals.
Compare sales results to goals and take appropriate action to correct when necessary.
Identify and target new markets by territory, product, segment or application.
Directly build and manage relationships with key corporate and strategic accounts.
Analyze sales data and communicate key data through monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports.
Quarterly Sales reviews
Creating and Communicating Annual pricing reviews and agreements
Data Entry - Intermediate experience in spreadsheets and proficiency in database management required.
Attend industry meetings, seminars, and trade shows as appropriate.
Participate with leadership team to determine and implement marketing, advertising, trade show, ad other customer-facing activities.
Communicate with sales channels for quotes, pricing, training, product applications and any areas of sales and technical support.
Implement and maintain dealer and distributor agreements, authorizations, and contracts as needed.
Understand Sheldon Manufacturing products, services, and competitive activity to communicate and drive internal improvement of sales team.
Identify new product opportunities and product development concepts.
Meet organizational objectives for sales and customer service
Provide sales information in an accurate and timely manner
Represent the organization in a professional and service-oriented fashion
Up to 50% travel
Work from the Cornelius Office when not traveling on business.
University Degree and 3-5 years industry experience
Successful experience in Life or Research Science business development and sales direction
Ability to travel * subject to current health travel restrictions*
Other activities common to most office environments
Additional Salary Information: plus commission plan; base salary depending on experience and background
