Candidate will design bridges, retaining walls, soundwalls, traffic signal and sign pole foundations, bridge ramps, and pedestrian bridges. Occasionally candidate will design components of commercial and industrial structures. Structural inspections, evaluations and seismic analysis of bridges and structures will be a significant portion of the responsibilities of the candidate. Designs will include steel, concrete, timber and CMU components. Construction administration services will require field visits and inspections. Candidate will initiate designs and assist in the preparation of construction plans. Must be able to work independently. Candidate will supervise work performed by EIT engineers and work with CAD technicians. Candidate will attend meetings with clients and assist in preparing reports. Candidate must have good oral and written skills.

BS degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) with structural engineering emphasis including coursework in structural analysis, strength of materials, steel design, concrete design, soil mechanics, bridge design and construction engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required with minimum 10 years design experience. Must be familiar with bridge and structural design softwares such as LARSA, STAADPro, MerlinDash, DESCUS, LEAP Bridge or similar commercial softwares. FHWA NHI 130055 bridge inspection certification a plus.
