SCOPE
This position is responsible to assist in performing product assurance activities of a complex nature to assure that the dimensional, material and visual characteristics of the product’s design, as documented on drawing, specifications and quality standards, consistently meet the customer’s technical data requirements and product acceptance criteria.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes customer point of contact for all customer communications regarding processed or in process product. This will include active use of customer designed systems and databases for submission of deviation requests and other customer notification functions.
Assist with requesting and communicating with customer source inspectors.
Communicating customer concerns regarding quality packaging, product issues, or general quality concerns after product shipment. This includes, but is not limited to, the maintenance and issuance of returns and complaints.
Assisting with maintaining and integrating all active quality systems for return and complaint processing. This will include email notification, internal portals, customer portals, and accounting documentation. This requires coherent communication between all systems to ensure all requirements are met from open to closure.
Identifying, interpreting, and applying customer requirements to active and shipped products. This person will be trained and required to use customer specific references and general PCB specifications.
Interpret and analyze customer requests. This will include communicating with customer for clearer understanding and follow-up questions to assist the quality department in addressing customer inquiries.
Using in-house tracking system to monitor remakes resulting from customer issues or changes. This will require communicating effectively between manufacturing, process engineering, and front-end engineering.
Analyzing product and returns to establish preliminary investigation for issues, as described by the customer or internal bodies. This will include communicating findings within the quality department, manufacturing, process engineering, front end engineering, and the customer, as applicable.
Quality System Support –
Assist in continuous improvement functions, such as: corrective actions, preventive actions, failure analysis, and other necessary action formats. This includes acting as an effective liaison between TTM functions and the customer. This will require investigating the issue, compiling evidence, and formatting written communication of actions. This will also entail follow-up and verification of action items.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience, or 6-10 years technical work experience in electronics manufacturing/engineering or related field.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills, including statistical data analysis and interpretation, as well as the ability to develop, implement, and drive improvement plans and project teams to successful completion.
Strong background in the use and understanding of key manufacturing performance metrics.
Strong communication skills in English-verbal & written, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Work up to 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week and is flexible to work weekends.
Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually.
