Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has an exciting opportunity available for a highly motivated civil engineer to join our aviation team. Responsibilities include designing and leading aviation engineering projects; evaluating and analyzing existing projects; preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits; leading proactive client interactions and communications with aviation clients; performing QA/QC tasks including leading design reviews; serving as the project manager and mentoring project staff; and serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects. A valid driver’s license, the ability to pass a background check for badging at airports, and some travel will be required.
This position is also available in our Rapid City, SD office.
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or construction engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
at least four years of relevant work experience
PE license in any state with ability to obtain a North Dakota PE license within six months of start date
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
aviation engineering design projects
FAA standards and specifications
AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D software programs
project management
writing technical reports
