Wood is seeking a Facilities Manager for the Little Rock, AR area. The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Project Manager and will be responsible for the O&M functional areas of the project to include EMCS shop, Central Steam Plant, Grounds Maintenance, and a Multi - Craft shop that consists of two separate sections one is the PM Recurring Maintenance section, and the other is the Repair and Alterations section. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring facilities and equipment maintenance is scheduled and performed on time to ensure all contract requirements are met. The Facility Manager will act as the Project Manager when delegated by the Project Manager. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, organized, engaging, and energetic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures federal, state, local and corporate policy, and regulatory compliance
Leads by example to enforce safety standards and produce a safety culture where no accidents occur
Ensures that work performed on behalf of the company meets all contract requirements, quality standards, and is delivered on - time
Manages, oversees, WPI staff and subcontractors to perform contract specific activities
Coordinates with client to ensure acceptable level of impact to production while performing maintenance and repair activities
Develops and maintains positive, partnership type, relationships with, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
Evaluates schedules and work assignments to ensure available resources to execute required tasks
Prepares reports documenting operations and maintenance performance
Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance for all supervisors, leads, and craftsmen including responding to urgent and emergency situations
Identifies the need for vendors and subcontractors and coordinates requirement
Ensures that Subcontractors perform work in accordance with the subcontract
Must read and completely understand the contract under which the company will be operating and be able to make decisions that ensure contract compliance
Use CMMS to track work requirements
Attend all required client meetings to discuss status of ongoing and future work to include schedules and performance
Skills / Qualifications*
High School education with 10 years’ experience supervising technical staff in a facility operations and maintenance environment on a contract with similar size, scope, and complexity
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Extensive understanding of building codes requirements to the point that the candidate would know whether a task would likely be governed by building, electrical, mechanical codes and that the work performed is within building codes
Good computer skills – able to effectively use Microsoft Office product
