Utilizes, modifies, or creates when necessary, computer-based analysis on proposed schedules developed to evaluate and measure the value of plans to NJ TRANSIT's current operations or capital programs.
Investigates specific rail operating characteristics, passenger use patterns, physical conditions of proposed facilities in support of various operating plans under study. Presents findings/analysis of same; makes presentations when requested.
Maintains current schedule computer systems in developing schedule changes, and in responding to customer comments/requests. Provides schedule analysis when required.
Reviews consultant prepared plans and proposals and participate on committees when requested, representing NJ TRANSIT positions as needed.
Production and quality control of schedules, timetables, and documents related to schedule changes.
Prepares special train movements, TTSBs, and related documents and computer files in support of event-related service, project-driven operational changes, or train rentals.
Coordinate staff scheduling, collection, and verification of passenger count information as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Baccalaureate Degree or equivalent
Four (4) years relevant experience with at least one year in a service planning, related environment, or a supervisory operations environment.
