A post-doctoral research associate position is available in the Soybean Genetics and Genomics Laboratory at the University of Missouri. The successful candidate will conduct genome wide association studies and haplotype analysis using large-scale whole genome sequencing resource to identify genes, structural variations, and genetic elements associated with seed composition and related agronomically traits in soybean. In addition, the incumbent will deploy multi-omics approach to understanding the genetic regulatory networks associated with genetic variation and trait associations.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics or related genetics and computational biology discipline with experience in next generation sequencing and applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative research environment are essential. Applications will be considered until a suitable candidate is identified. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
