THE SCHOOL: The School of Engineering was established in August of 2009 in the Quad Cities and began offering a general engineering degree with five tracks, one of which was a civil engineering track, at the junior level. Within two years the School began offering all four years of undergraduate studies. In January 2017 the School began offering a mechanical engineering degree with first graduates in May 2017. In August of 2019, the Trustees and the Illinois Board of Higher Education authorized both an electrical and civil engineering degree. The first class was offered in fall semester 2019.
