APM & Associates, Inc., a Texas consulting engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, has an immediate opening for a highly talented Project Manager for Storm Water Master Planning. This position provides an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in major drainage studies relating to evaluation of storm water infrastructure and formulation of capital improvement project list. Work will involve field inventory, evaluation of existing drainage system, identification of problem areas, and recommendation for immediate and future improvements along with preliminary cost opinions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about drainage master plan and helping our clients create sustainable futures for their communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Job responsibilities include:
Manage projects, including storm water master planning.
Develop project schedules, budgets and forecasts. Implement and communicate operational plan for completing projects. Monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identify, develop, and gather resources necessary to complete projects
Perform engineering analysis and hydraulic modeling, clearly documenting methodology.
Develop capital improvement programs
Interact with clients and other team members to deliver projects
Guide, develop and mentor project team staff
Deliver projects in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
Provide leadership using project management principles
Serve as client facing consultant, working in concert with client staff and other key stakeholders
Participate in client management activities, including active attendance at conferences and serve as the primary client point of contact
Engage, develop and motivate internal staff within their group
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS
Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering degree required
Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to obtain.
Minimum 5 years relevant drainage master planning experience
Proven project management experience with demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver on time
Effective written and oral communications with team members and clients
Demonstrated experience delivering presentations to various groups
Proficient in hydraulic modeling software.
