SLR International Corporation is seeking a Project level Civil Engineer to join its talented team based in Cheshire, Connecticut. The candidate will be responsible for managing small projects and supporting larger complex projects. The candidate will participate in planning; design; permitting; analysis; and preparation of specifications, stormwater calculations, and technical reports for a wide variety of site development projects for private and municipal clients. The Civil Engineering group provides a full range of professional services on a variety of challenging projects that include site planning and engineering, road design, stormwater management design, utility design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and land use permitting.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare calculations for storm drainage, wastewater, and water systems; earthwork quantities and cost estimates; and other supporting documentation for public and private projects.
Prepare studies and engineering plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications.
Visit project sites for the purpose of data collection and monitoring.
Perform construction administration services for assigned projects that include tracking and reviewing submittals, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors and subcontractors, preparing field reports, and maintaining logs and files.
Utilize a variety of computer programs including AutoCAD software to undertake designs and computations.
Conduct research and/or file searches on-line, in libraries, and at governmental offices.
May occasionally attend client meetings accompanied by a project manager.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Two to four years of experience in site development design
Proficiency in AutoCAD
EIT required
