This position requires strategic thinking, flexibility, creativity, excellent writing and editing skills, a well-developed graphic eye, planned and proactive approaches, and the ability to shift priorities frequently while maintaining attention to detail and achieving high quality standards. The Senior Marketing Coordinator must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and function effectively as part of a team under multiple deadlines and time constraints, schedule workload, and manage time efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while demonstrating an enthusiastic “can do” attitude.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Contribute to the implementation of annual company and market sector-specific strategic plans
Ability to manage and make decisions regarding day-to-day marketing and program tasks
Create, edit, and produce well-written and graphically sophisticated content for marketing materials including proposals in both general and SF330 formats, statements of qualifications, award submittals, presentations, marketing collateral, handouts, and promotional materials
Collaborate with the communications team for market-specific communications needs such as email marketing, social media, news, and blog content, etc.
Support regular marketing audits as directed by the Marketing Manager
Proactively coordinate with marketing and technical staff to create and update master descriptions for projects; interview technical staff concerning project details; draft content; collect photography for projects, personnel, and marketing collateral; and collaborate with technical and marketing staff to ensure content accuracy
Coordinate with marketing and technical staff to create and maintain up-to-date, personnel resumes
Support capture planning, proposal, and marketing research efforts
Assist in pre-positioning efforts for specific project pursuits as directed by the Marketing Manager, Business Developers, and Seller-Doers
Assist the CRM Manager and marketing team in maintaining the CRM database including maintenance of opportunities, projects, clients, and contacts
Assist with proofreading proposals and other marketing content for strategy, compliance, and grammar
Provide printing, production, assembly, and delivery support of marketing materials
Support outreach efforts such as client events, white paper or presentation development, tradeshow/conference participation, and public relations efforts as needed
Mentor and train Marketing Coordinators and Marketing Assistants as needed
Extensive writing and frequent communication via phone, email, and in person with co-workers, clients, and subconsultants
Represent the marketing department internally, as well as externally through professional organizations and through consultant teaming interactions
Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization’s mission, objectives, and goals.
Occasional travel may be required.
Education, Technology, and Experience
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Business, or a related field with 4-7 years of relevant experience recommended
Without a degree, 5-10 years of relevant A/E/C experience required
Effectively utilize current company software programs for proposal and marketing collateral development, word processing, e-mail, and information management. Programs include:

MS Word
MS Excel
MS Outlook
MS PowerPoint
Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent CRM software
Experience in the use of the following programs is desirable:

Open Asset
Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) may be given additional consideration
A Senior Marketing Coordinator will typically have professional and internship experience in related marketing, business development, public relations roles within the A/E/C industry.
Experience in the development of proposals in the SF 330, Virginia AE, or SF254/255 formats may be given additional consideration

Physical Requirements
Work is sedentary and often performed in an office setting. Work area is lighted, heated, and ventilated. This position may require extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitive movements, bending and lifting of minimal weight.
