LRE Water is always seeking professionals with water rights' experience to join our Denver, Colorado office.
Description of Position:
Manage or assist in managing projects, tasks, budgets, and client relationships, and provide quality control review, for projects such as the following:
Technical support for Water Court applications (SWSPs, Augmentation Plans, etc.)
Water supply planning studies
Hydrologic and water rights yield investigations
Stream depletion analyses such as crop consumptive use, net depletions, and evaluation of potential injury to other water users
Water budget models for discrete systems and for river basin modeling
Assist clients in identifying, understanding, and solving problems
Coordination with attorneys, water users, administrators, objectors, and colleagues
Preparation of scopes of work and technical reports, including expert disclosure reports
Expert testimony in Water Court, including litigation support
Ability to foster relationships that lead to new and repeat clients
Desired Skills and Experience:
At least 2-30 years of relevant experience in water rights (experience in other states may be considered) and water resource engineering
Strong technical skills, including skill in interpretation and understanding of water right decrees; administration guidelines; maps; and water supply, demand, and use data
Strong writing skills and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills, including management of staff
Professional registration preferred

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Total Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $190,000 annually depending upon years of experience and education. Salary is negotiable for a higher level of experience. LRE also distributes bonuses and 401k contributions based on annual company profitability. LRE reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range depending on experience. Employer paid benefits increase total compensation by approximately 20%. LRE Water offers a hybrid work environment that promotes flexibility for our employees and encourages work/life balance. This role will require some local travel to the Denver office, client meetings, and legal proceedings. Full- or part-time schedules are available.
