The Electrical Engineer will operate under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager to support the electrical operation of the company in an industrial setting. This is achieved by troubleshooting issues with current machinery and equipment and also by designing, specifying, documenting, assembling, and testing the electrical system and components of new equipment builds.
Responsibilities:
Design electrical circuitry and software for new equipment and trouble-shoot electrical problems on new and existing equipment.
Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
Investigate and research the application of new state-of-the-art electronic innovations to increase productivity and/or improve quality.
Perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
Ensure that the installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
Converse with engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
Support the Manufacturing Department’s staff in maintaining production.
Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Write reports and compile data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
Prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
Ensure compliance with, and continuous improvement in all applicable quality and environmental objectives, goals, accountabilities, policies and responsibilities as outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) program.

Experience:
At least 5 years work experience with industrial electrical control systems.
