To perform a variety of professional engineering tasks in the design and construction of the City's most complex public works improvement projects; to provide technical engineering expertise supporting the City's infrastructure systems; design and operation of City transportation systems; to prepare designs and specifications for assigned projects; and to perform variety of technical tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility.
Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible traffic or civil engineering experience.
Training: Equivalent to a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in traffic engineering, civil engineering or a related field.
License or Certificate
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of North Dakota; valid drivers license. In addition to the above, when assigned as Traffic Engineer; possession of, or ability to obtain a valid IMSA Work Zone Temporary Traffic Control Technician Certificate; and valid IMSA Traffic Signal Design/Engineering Technician Level II Certificate.
