The Principal Engineer position performs Electrical Engineering duties at a combined cycle natural gas-fired power plant, a 24/7 facility. Leads engineering projects, manages associated budgets and schedules, and provides design expertise for field installations and system startup. Performs plant engineering activities in a technically sound, timely, and cost-effective manner to enable SRP to provide low cost/high value water and energy services.
Primary work location will be the Santan Generating Station in Gilbert, AZ. This role may require callouts and off-hour support.
EITHER I OR II I - Completion of a bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) recognized institution or ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) And 1. Additional specialty training (MS Engineering, MBA, or 18 graduate level college semester hours from an accredited institution in an engineering related field) OR 2. Any state or internationally recognized Professional Engineering registration by the International Professional Engineers Agreement.
