The Neuromodulation and Recovery Lab is actively seeking a post-doctoral fellow to be involved in several multi-year NIH funded projects on adaptive neuroplasticity, including invasive and non-invasive spinal cord electrical stimulation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurophysiology, neurorehabilitation, or bioengineering. Opportunities for collaboration with clinicians and scientists on existing clinical research projects, including robotic exoskeletons, neuroimaging, and animal models, are available.
The postdoctoral fellow will become part of a dynamic and inclusive environment within the Department of Neurosurgery and Center for Neuro regeneration at Houston Methodist Hospital and Research Institute, located within the Texas Medical Center.
o Postdoctoral Fellow 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 – Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school or Doctoral Degree (PhD) in medical field (A letter from the academic institution certifying that all student work is complete will be considered for Postdoctoral Fellow 0 only.)

o Postdoctoral Fellow 1– One year of Postdoc experience
o Postdoctoral Fellow 2 – Two years’ Postdoc experience
o Postdoctoral Fellow 3 – Three years’ Postdoc experience
o Postdoctoral Fellow 4 – Four years’ Postdoc experience
