We are seeking a mechanical engineer to become a part of our team. You will develop strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing cost. You will quote projects of structures, tube truss and tension fabric structures. Knowledge of welding, bending, and CNC brake press needed. Quality experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
New product design as required for fabrication including weld jig design/layout
Direct subordinate draftsmen/detailers as needed
Review customer's prints to insure we can fabricate product per prints provided and communicating with the customer for approval of any changes needed.
Project management of large customer orders and projects as directed by the Operations Manager.
Assist in estimating cost for RFQ's as directed by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Mechanical or Structural engineering or other related fields
Preferred 5 or more years' experience in design and detail of metal fabrication
Familiarity with technical drawings and blueprints
CADD/Cam, Solid Works application
Supervision/project management experience
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Deadline Detailed, organized and thorough in design concepts and estimating project cost and fabrication feasibility.
