The Dolan School of Business, Fairfield University, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Analytics beginning Fall 2024. Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing a PhD or DBA in Business Analytics, Decision Sciences, Applied Statistics, Applied Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching, a demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality research journals, and a commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom or online.
The position requires teaching three courses per semester, which may be day or evening classes at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The faculty member may teach at either the Fairfield and/or Bridgeport campus. Strong applicants should be versatile, with an ability to teach a variety of courses in Analytics. Candidates with proficiency in Python, SQL, or R and expertise in data science, decision analytics, data visualization, data mining, sports analytics, and/or statistics, as well as those with significant industry or consulting experience, are especially encouraged to apply.
