General Description As an Assistant City Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the City Engineer in planning, designing, and overseeing various engineering projects. You will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of city infrastructure initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of our community. You’ll also assist with the implementation of local, state, and federal planning, transportation and utility grants and laons.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a municipal engineering capacity, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification as an Ohio professional engineer (or proof of exemption) under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4733 required. Knowledge of civil engineering, City Zoning Code (Unified Development Ordinance), subdivision regulations, public relations, and budget preparation preferred.
