The Senior Project Engineer, under the direction of the City Engineer, will manage the development, funding, design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of capital projects for the City of Maple Valley. This position can significantly influence quality, schedule, costs, and public confidence. Therefore, the Senior Project Engineer has oversight responsibility for all aspects of the budgets and schedules for assigned capital projects. The Senior Project Engineer is also responsible for the professional engineering review of private development projects, including approvals related to enforcement of codes and development regulations, and ensuring that the city’s goals, policies, and standards are met with respect to the design and construction of new infrastructures.
