The Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan invites applications for a full-time faculty position from individuals with a research focus and mentorship experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Medical Imaging. The rank ranging from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor, on the instructional tenure track, will be based on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will enhance our interdisciplinary expertise in applications of AI for medical imaging, diagnosis, treatment-response monitoring, prognosis prediction, and analysis and retrieval of clinical information. The new faculty member will join a research group recognized for its interdisciplinary strengths in medical imaging, AI, computer-aided diagnosis and decision support, treatment-response monitoring, and the integration of imaging, molecular and clinical information for diverse machine learning applications. The successful candidate is expected to develop collaborations with existing research programs within the Department of Radiology and beyond.

Responsibilities:
Develop and direct a robust, extramurally funded research program.
Mentor postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, medical residents and students, and supervise their research activities.
Participate in departmental and university shared governance.
Contribute to professional and public services.

Minimum Job Requirements:
A Ph.D. degree in computer science, electrical or biomedical engineering, medical physics, or related fields.
Training or work experience in digital image processing, computer vision, artificial intelligence, neural networks, deep learning, machine learning, and statistics.
