Strata is searching for a Computer Vision Engineer to join our engineering team. This individual will primarily be responsible for the machine learning pipeline used to train models in the HazardAI product line.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing large datasets of object images and videos for training machine learning models
Implement any preprocessing functions required to format images for training
Development of computer vision algorithms and models (e.g., object detection, image classification, segmentation, pattern recognition)
Management of outsourced partners used for tagging data set images
Thorough testing, benchmarking, and validation of models prior to deploying for field use
Continuously monitoring performance of fielded system and continued improvement of Strata’s AI models
Implementing post processing computer vision and detection algorithms as required
Keep up with latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision techniques.

A. Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline including coursework and/or working knowledge of mathematics and statistics applicable for object detection and location
3+ years of professional experience in computer science or related field
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Solid background in training computer vision AI models
Expertise working on Linux platforms and strong coding skills in Python and C
Familiarity with variety of CV algorithms (e.g. OpenCV)
C++ coding skills preferred
AWS experience preferred
Experience working with NVIDIA Jetson devices a plus
