Packaging Engineer (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Covington, GA. Optimize packaging for efficiency, standardization, cost saving, and adherence to quality standards. Participate in packaging projects for commercial products, ensuring they meet business requirements. Involve in packaging activities, from conceptualizing design options to selecting and modifying packaging, equipment, and materials. Convert customer, regulatory, and marketing needs into viable product solutions. Develop prototypes of concepts and subcomponent mechanisms. Design and develop tooling and fixturing required to support commercial products. Collaborate with vendors and customers to identify suitable materials and components. Ensure packaging specifications meet customer, marketing, and regulatory requirements. Write testing protocols. Document activities in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree, foreign equivalent degree, in Mechatronic Engineering, Packaging Engineering or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.
Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:
Coordinating translation of customer requirements;
Medical device or pharmaceutical industry;
Employing various analysis techniques, including Failure Mode Analysis, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Finite Element Analysis & modeling, tolerancing analysis, and statistical analysis; and
Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Microsoft Project, TOPS/CAPE, and various statistical software packages.
Must have one (1) years of experience with/in:
Designing innovative packaging or mechanisms; and
Design experience with AutoCAD, Artios, and Solidworks.
Between 25% and 50% domestic and international travel required.
Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
