Our well-established mid-size engineering firm in Albuquerque is looking for a motivated and visionary Senior Traffic Engineer who has the potential to grow into a leadership role over the next two to three years. This position is a key opportunity to step into a senior role and lead the expansion of our traffic engineering division as we prepare for the transition of our current senior engineer towards retirement.
Qualifications:
Significant experience in traffic engineering, with a strong foundation in leadership.
Proficiency in traffic engineering software and tools.
Strategic planning and business development skills, with room to further develop these areas.
Excellent mentoring and team management capabilities.
Eligibility to obtain registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of New Mexico.
Complete and submit Traffic Impact Studies and related transportation studies.
Review and approve studies conducted by other engineers.
Train and develop junior traffic engineers to achieve professional competency.
Expand the department's capabilities and revenue through new projects, services, and RFPs.
Scale the department to meet growing demands, overseeing 2-3 full-time traffic engineers with potential for further expansion.
Since its founding Tierra West LLC has built a long history of providing our clients with top quality planning, entitlement and engineering services on commercial projects ranging in size from 100 acres or more to less than an acre. For many of these projects Tierra West has been the lead consultant responsible for coordinating all aspects of the projects. Our duties have included site investigation, feasibility analysis, site master planning, entitlements, onsite/offsite drainage analysis and design, site utility design, dry utility coordination, drainage master planning, coordination of sub-consultants (geo tech services, surveying services, etc), construction contract management, and construction inspections.
