Responsible for managing all sales-related functions within an assigned territory.
Create and manage annual territorial forecasts and budgets.
Plan and perform ongoing training of sales representatives.
Hire, evaluate and terminate representative companies as needed.
Make and assist with direct customer visits, training, and sales presentations/seminars.
In conjunction with VP of Sales and Marketing, establish and manage special pricing contracts/agreements with key customers or distributors within a territory.
Work closely with customer service on decisions regarding repair and return policies when representatives or customers are returning product.
Turn in monthly pjt report to VP of Sales and Marketing.
Travel within assigned territory 50-60% of the time.
Participate in marketing and product development.
Periodically attend ongoing technical education seminars and training sessions.
Create and present webinars to customers, representatives and peers.
Perform technical training sessions for sales personnel.
Working experience with digital networks including Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet, and HART will be required.
Meet and follow MII’s Corporate Quality Systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other industry related technical discipline or a minimum of 10 years experience in managing representative or distribution channels in control and instrumentation industry.
Must have and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals related to our industry.
Ability to decipher procurement contracts and effectively negotiate terms of sale with end users and contractors.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with control applications and solutions.
Knowledge of a personal computer and Microsoft Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Working experience with Microsoft Access or other relational database products is a plus.
